We just returned back from one of the most beautiful regions of the nation. Every time I fly into Seattle I am floored by the the wonder and magnificence of God as we pass right over snow capped Mount Rainer. Its almost an eery beauty majestic thing...it seems as if you can look down into the depths of the earth when you slowly pass over this still VERY active volcano. 

It captivates me every time...I wonder how people can look at this gorgeous facet of creation and deny the Creator of it all. This staple mountain is even on every license plate in the state for crying out loud!! Anyway...my heart has always been drawn to the mountains, the ocean, and people who are hungry for more. This place has all that and then some.

 

Sometimes hanging out in the midwest too long can build apathy and lethargy in your heart. Its easier to blend into the "church culture" in Dallas where Bill Johnson, Chuck Pierce, Cindy Jacobs or someone powerful comes like every weekend and you can ride on their anointing from week to week without digging too far into what God is saying. Oh yea....we've all been there. 

 

So my heart longs for the places that are written off by many believers. The places too hard or too "demonic" (the most common prophetic person excuse) or whatever. I think God has His eye on these places in this hour. He's leaving the 99 to get the 1. The funny thing is that the people in these cities are really the most hungry and starving for God out there. When the presence comes...even if its just a drop...they just crumble and weep because of their sensitivity to the Lord.  

 

We experienced this and more last weekend. The most amazing musicians I know traveled up with me to Seattle to unleash their new sounds of redemption before the Lord. Seattle has a massive mantle on it for creativity. The sounds of Jimmy Hendrix and Kurt Cobain were birthed in this great city and literally brought the world upside down. The enemy came with his best against their lives and thwarted their sound to unleash drugs, sex, violence, and the occult on a generation...and it worked. Millions of people in thousands of cultures were influenced (and still are) by their sound. He then convinced these psalmists destined for glory to kill themselves. You can see this pattern repeated many times throughout history as the enemy will steal, kill and destroy every creative musician he can get his hands on. His plan hasn't changed.

 

We are in a year of redemption and God is restoring back what was once stolen. He's making "all things new" again and thats the mandate we came with. I had some of the most powerful times of worship I've had in the last 5 years this past weekend!! Heaven met hunger and it was glorious! Songs were birthed and captured that carry creativity and influence on them. When you are in that environment with that mantle...it just comes out of you! I look forward to seeing what God will do with our feeble efforts as we caught them on tape this time.

 

Bob Jones was supposed to speak at one of the gatherings but his illness prevented him from coming. So I was picked to take one of his sessions..WOW...if thats not enough to scare a person to death!! Try walking in that dudes shoes!! I unleashed my usual tirade of BURN 101 gear complete with the Psalm 132 Davidic mandate and Tabernacle of David lingo. But this time I tied it into the destiny over the region...and prophesied building a place where new sounds and creativity would be released again. This time around it would roll back the veil of darkness covering the hearts of the people and usher in the Kingdom!  As I was speaking, people just began to weep and weep. It was surreal...I have carried this mandate all over the world this year...but there was such a hunger in the people and it broke open a new paradigm. I am still getting pounded with radical emails from that night. Several people came running up to me afterwards and hugged me crying on my shoulder "THIS IS IT!! THIS IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR!! THIS IS THE ANSWER FOR OUR CITY!! THE PRESENCE!!!"  They began to convince me after I had just spent time convincing them! I actually came away from the whole deal with with so much faith in my heart for this continuing journey we are on. 

 

I have once again never felt more in tune with what God is doing on the earth. Seattle and the rest of the west coast are going to catch on blazing fire...the hunger is there...the people are ready. The region is destined for glory...and destined for the sound.

This time around...its the song of redemption.
